Christmas Giveaway

Giveaway!
Giveaway Prize One

As a giveaway leading up to Christmas I would like to add to your stash. I've never done a giveaway before, so I hope that this is good for my first one!

For first prize option I have two Fat Quarters of the same material I used on this project. You'll get 1 fat quarter of red material with a black and white sewing theme pattern and 1 fat quarter of black and white spots. Add black and you should have plenty of material to create your own sewing kit, or use it for your own projects. You'll also get Country Patchwork & Craft Vol 6 No 1, which has a pattern sheet still attached. There are lots of great projects in this one, but I ended up with two copies somehow. This magazine is brand new.

Giveaway Prize Two

A second prize option is a selection of 15 3" charm squares with no duplicates.

To enter, leave a comment below and to make it interesting please tell me what your favourite type of quilt block is. If you have a prize preference leave it in the comments, and first person drawn will receive their first pick.

I'll be drawing the winner on Friday to allow 2 weeks before Christmas for delivery so please leave a comment by 11.59pm on the 10th Dec. (when is that in your country)

UPDATE: ENTRYS NOW CLOSED

Very difficult for me o select my favorite type of quilt block. So many. I love Card Trick, as I think it is a great way to show off a collection of fabrics. I love pinwheels, especially when set on white background fabric. I love applique blocks. I could go on and on.

Can't wait to see all the ideas from those that enter your fun giveaway.

I'm not sure I have a favourite block - I enjoy making anything I haven't tried before especially those with a few triangles in.
I hope you get lots of new visitors.

I am new to sewing... I saw a tote bag with the quilt block "card trick" on it at a craft fair. I was bound and determined to figure it out.
I did, I made a quilt top to fit our queen size bed. For my first project I think it turned out ok.

Thanks for the giveaway! I don't have a preference. Either looks great!

I loke the previous responses. I also like animal blocks. I made a butterfly one last year for my niece... I make up my own patterns. Right now I am doing a cat for my sister. I want to do applique but righ now like doing pieced blocks of animals! (i know a butterfly is not an 'animal' heehee)

*hugs*

Love the goodies you're giving away, and I'd love to win option 1 :P (if not, no problem for me!). One of the blocks I love and it's a bit difficult for me to do it's the bear paws, I adore the way they turned 1 to 1 until all the 4 paws of the bear!. I'm day dreaming to make a table cloth or for my bed, ahhhhhhhh!!!!, I know I'll do that someday!, thank you for the chance -hugs!-

I love Basket blocks. I've not made many using this block, but they are always so inviting. Thanks for such a fun first giveaway. I think you have a good one :-)

This is a hard question. I think the most fun I've had making a block was for a Disappearing Nine Patch. There are so many variations that can be made out of a Nine Patch block.

I think my preference would be prize number 1. That sewing kit is just too cute!

Good luck on your first giveaway. They are so much fun to host!

Thanks so much for the chance at a great giveaway! I love number one, the magazine and the sewing kit! Thanks!
I love to applique, but I also love to make tablerunners--they are fantastic gifts and each one can be so different! They are also a lot quicker than full size quilts! I have some favorite tablerunner patterns!

My favorite pattern, at this time (you know that always changes!) is anything with hexagons. That's why I like your background! My choice would be prize #1.

First choice is #1 but will be happy with #2 if drawn second. Favorite blocks I think would be string blocks right now...using up all the edges of my fabrics. I also am into selvedges lately too :) Just love to be FRUGAL I guess!

I'm a too late? Regardless my favorite block is pinwheels - even though they don't always behave for me. But you know pinwheels with polka dot fabric, is just a happy thing!

The Daisy Chain is my favorite at the moment. I find my taste is always changing when combined with fabric.
Happy Holidays!!
